QoS Testing for Mobile Networks
This system is used for Quality of Service (QoS) testing of mobile networks all over the world, with different system configurations depending on the location. It is used for preparation and execution of network tests and also serves as a central database of test cases and scenario libraries. The whole system is easily administered via a web interface.
Each system is housed in a standard 19" rack and consists of several CompactPCI PlusIO based F19P Intel Core 2 Duo single-board computers with F601 side cards. Customized versions of the F212 provide each CPU card with two PCI Express Mini card slots, with audio signals from the Mini cards available at a D-Sub front connector. PCMCIA card slots can be added as an option. An integrated router manages communication between the sub-systems, all of which are running Linux from CompactFlash.
Standard Components Used in this Example
The F19P versatile 4HP/3U single-board computer is compatible to the CompactPCI PlusIO standard and equipped with the Intel Core 2 Duo processor SP9300.
The F212 is a rugged single Eurocard CompactPCI carrier board supporting the PCI Express Mini Card standard or the ExpressCard standard for implementing WLAN, UMTS, GPS, GSM, HSDPA interfaces.
The F601 is a multimedia extension card for 3U Intel based CompactPCI single-board computers. It can be used in combination with the F14 and compatible CPU boards.
