Modular, Built-to-Order Configuration The MH70S is a modular turn-key storage PC which meets the requirements of storage intensive applications such as digital video recorders, content servers or NAS. It is designed for use in trains, trams or industrial environments.
A conduction-cooled, robust enclosure together with a scalable CPU board and a freely configurable I/O board - these are the features characterizing MEN's customized "off-the-shelf" box and display computers. The family of the modular box PCs from MEN is constantly growing and comprises standard versions for the transportation market, for industrial automation or for wireless communication and data storage.
MEN Mikro Elektronik received the CNA award for innovation for the development of a new computer platform for trains that meets the increased requirements for modularity and connectivity in the railway market. In the spirit of “Mobility 4.0”, the virtualization-enabled platform consolidates all data processing and communication on a train and in train-land communication. Advantages that were previously reserved for the office IT environment are now reliably working in railway applications.
The new multicore SBC A25 from MEN offers up to 16 independent CPU cores, a variety of I/O options and an FPGA-based VMEbus interface. The board is already used by the Swiss research institute CERN in the world's largest particle accelerator due to its extreme computing power.
